And I'm going to test out the new techniques I've been pestering you guys about these last few weeks. New paints, sealers, non-toxic, non-asthma inducing glue, etc.
Not to mention that this time I made her into an exercise in anatomy. I really truly tried to not skimp on a single necessary muscle, tendon, bone, etc and I really hope it shows. The firing of this clay has a way of dulling the sharper details but I hope it still shows though.
It's great to be back doing this. I missed what it felt like to sculpt, to work stuff out, to make choices about what, how, what colour etc. I dunno why I stopped for so long, it's been a hectic personal time I guess and I have to be in the right mindset to get stuff done. But thats a lame excuse and for sure I'll never let myself go without sculpting for this long again. This was ridiculous and I owe myself a damn apology for taking such a long break.
Maybe my problem was that I stopped challenging myself, it felt like I was doing the same thing again and again and that combined with other things...lol, more excuses. Important thing is I'm back and it feels good
